Location

Narromine is located in the heart of NSW on Wiradjuri land alongside the Macquarie River, 35kms west of Dubbo NSW. The shire has a population of approximately 7,000 people. In traditional Wiradjuri language Narromine means ‘place of honey or place of many lizards’. The community has a strong cultural link and Aboriginal heritage.

Narromine is a community proud of its aviation history and sporting achievements. It is a town that a lot of rural farming families relocate too due to the proximity of regional Dubbo but the community still manages to keep the country atmosphere.

The preschool is located near the centre of town, next to the train tracks – which prompt a lot of discussions between children when it chugs past. We are on a large block with room for children to play and run outside.
