Our Playspaces

Magpie and Kookaburra Room.

Narromine Preschool offers high quality education for children 3-5 years of age. In each room children are engaged in play experiences that foster individual needs, interests and abilities. In this environment children develop valuable and unique relationships with their educators and their friends.

Children are introduced to early literacy and number recognition through play based experiences which educators implement in a creative and supporting way.  Our program caters for and fosters children’s learning to further extend and challenge children’s ideas. We believe it is important for children to be questioning their world and investigating their ideas through play.

Our rooms cater for children in the year prior to school. We value individuality and support children’s ideas and interests. We believe it is important for children to begin to learn self-help skills, resilience, social interactions, respect and empathy. Children need to have the confidence to speak up, interact and take control of their learning. We support all children’s development through interest based play experiences.

Discussions are ongoing throughout the day about emotions, healthy eating, literacy, numeracy, building relationships, sharing and turn taking. Educators value the importance of interacting with children and questioning their ideas. In this room many investigations and experimentations are initiated through the questions children are asking and through their inquisitive nature.
